Last updated: 19 September 2026

Affidavit Doorstep ("Affidavit Doorstep", "we", "us", or "our") provides online affidavit preparation and delivery support for students. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, protect and share personal information when you use our website or services.

1. Personal information we collect

Depending on the service you request, we may collect: your name; email address and account information; registration or enrollment number; WhatsApp number; hostel name; faith or religion; date of birth; father's name; permanent address; institute information; payment and order references; and other information you voluntarily provide for a requested affidavit.

2. Why we use it

We use this information to create and process your requested affidavit, validate and review the information you submit, confirm payments, generate and securely store the completed PDF, provide delivery and support updates, maintain account security, prevent abuse and fraud, and meet applicable legal, accounting or record-keeping requirements.

3. Legal-document information

Some information requested for an affidavit, including date of birth, religion or faith, and address, can be sensitive in nature. We collect it only when it is relevant to the affidavit or service you request and do not use it for unrelated advertising or profiling.

4. Affidavit PDFs and storage

Completed affidavit PDFs are stored in private, access-controlled storage. We use authenticated access and controlled download mechanisms so that a student's document is not intentionally published as a public file.

5. Payments

Payments are processed through third-party payment providers such as Razorpay. We use payment status and transaction references to fulfil your order. We do not ask you to provide your card PIN, UPI PIN or banking password to Affidavit Doorstep.

6. Service providers

We may use technology providers including Supabase for authentication, database and storage services, Vercel for hosting and Razorpay for payments. These providers may process information as necessary to provide their respective services and are also subject to their own terms and privacy practices.

7. WhatsApp

We may provide a WhatsApp group or WhatsApp support channel for delivery updates. If you join a WhatsApp group, your WhatsApp account information may be visible to other group participants according to WhatsApp's functionality and settings. WhatsApp's own terms and privacy practices also apply.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures such as authentication, access controls, private document storage, secure connections and restricted administrative access. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

9. Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide and support the service, maintain payment and business records, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and comply with applicable legal obligations. When information is no longer reasonably required, we may delete or securely dispose of it subject to those obligations.

10. Your privacy requests

You may contact us to request access to or correction or deletion of personal information, or to raise a privacy complaint. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. Some records may need to be retained where required by law or necessary for an existing transaction or dispute.

11. Consent and notice

At account creation and before an affidavit order is submitted, we present links to this Privacy Policy and our Terms & Conditions. Where consent is required, the service records the policy version and the time at which the user accepted the policies.

12. Children

Where applicable law requires parental or guardian involvement for a minor, the service should be used with that involvement. We do not knowingly use children's information for unrelated advertising or profiling.

13. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy as our service, security practices or applicable law changes. The latest version will be published on this page with a revised date.

14. Contact

For privacy questions or requests, use the Contact page and provide your account email or application reference where relevant.
